Applet Edition

We offer you three options for security solutions in applets:

  1. When using the Standard Editions of IAIK-JCE , iSaSiLk and IAIK-CMS in any case you have to take care for signing your applet and have to be aware about the notes discussed in our applet summary and FAQ.
  2. The applet editions of IAIK JCE, iSaSiLk and IAIK-CMS have the same API and functionality as the standard editions of these libraries. However, they include a few modifications that allow them to be used in applets easily. They can be used on any JDK 1.1 (or later) capable browser. A detailed description of the changes to the applet edition is available.
  3. Our lightweight implementations of IAIK-JCE and iSaSiLk (called IAIK-JCE ME and iSaSiLk ME Micro Editions) are small footprint versions of our standard IAIK-JCE and SSL editions. Although (or since) our Mirco Editions are especially designed for small devices they also may be the right choice for use with applets. The Micro Edition of IAIK-CMS is on our todo list.

Follow the links (usage, FAQs) on left side for more information about the usage of these libraries in applets.
