AW: [iaik-ssl] Timout in ssl connection?
Hello,
there should be no timeout from the SSL layer.
However, you may control the timeout of the client socket via
org.w3c.www.protocol.http.HttpManager´s static variable
TIMEOUT_P = "org.w3c.www.protocol.http.connections.timeout";
which may be set via System property.

Dieter Bratko

Betreff: RE: [iaik-ssl] Timout in ssl connection?
Dear support,
I have similar problem!
OS: Windows2000/ WindowsNT4.0
Tools: ORBacus v4.0.5 + BiDir + FreeSSL v2.0.1 + iSaSiLk v3.03 + IAIK-JCE
v2.61c
JDK: Sun JDK1.3.0
I'm using CORBA to transfer a big file(larger than 10MB) via a slow(20bps)
connection (ISDN/ Dial up) and it is always failed.
We tested it with different networks, the results as below:
- Tests on Modem proved to be globally (high percentage of failures)
unsuccessful,
- Tests on ISDN were globally not successfull when files are bigger than
10Mb,
- Tests on LAN were always successfull,
- Tests on ADSL were not performed.
The exception likes this:
org.omg.CORBA.SystemException : org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE: recv() failed:
I/O error during read: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset by peer:
JVM_recv in socket input stream read minor code: 1330577409 completed:
Maybe
Have you done the same test(ISDN/Dial up) on your side?
Does Mr. support can help us?
Thanks in advance,
Changski
Is there a timeout in the SSL-Layer?
We send a large File via https and want to wait for the response.
The response should arrive about 4 hours later.
I never received a response :-(
The error messages are:
