[iaik-ssl] Proxy Question....

Howdy,

We are just about to release our app to testing and all of a sudden the
specs change! Who has not had that happen before!

Now the marketing crew want us to be able to connect to our servers
througha proxy. We are using SILK3.0 and JCE 2.51.

We can use the system properties:

https.proxyHost=
https.proxyPort=

This is fine if we set these before we perform the 1st conenction, but
if we change the values after the 1st connection, it does not 'pick up'
the new setting. How can you change the proxy settings used without
stopping and starting the application?

Also if the proxy specified does not exist, it tries to connect to the
server specified in the URL, but on port 80 (So HTTP instead of HTTPS!)?
What is the reason for this? I expect it has something to do with the
fact that you use the w3c HttpConnection classes as the base for the
Https. Is there any way to change this behaviour?

Thanks

Gil Peeters
